Day 1 ARRIVAL IN ISTANBUL - We welcome you at the airport with a special bouquet of flowers. Transfer you to your hotel, give an orientation and offer you a bottle of wine.

Day 2 ISTANBUL - Today we visit the Blue Mosque built in 1616 with Iznik tiles and stained glass. Adjacent is the site of the Hippodrome with the Obelisk from Egypt, Serpentine Column from Delphi and fountain of Willhelm II. Next we admire Saint Sophia, built in 535. Then we tour the Ottoman Empire's Topkapi Palace, walk through its rooms full of exquisite art, view its priceless treasures including the 86 carat diamond and enter the Harem. Finally we visit the dazzling Grand Bazaar which houses many artisans and is a shopper's paradise with over 4,000 shops selling precious handmade rugs, jewelry, leather goods, souvenirs, etc. (B,L)

Day 3 ISTANBUL - Enjoy a free day or as an addition choose an Optional Day Tour available upon request from page 39: Princes Island, Egyptian Spice Bazaar/Bosphorous Cruise/Beylerbeyi Palace and Istanbul by Night. Overnight in Istanbul. If desired, a romantic table with a lovely view of Topkapi Palace at the famous gourmet Liman Restaurant is reserved for you. (B)

Day 4 ISTANBUL - TROY - CANAKKALE - We go to Canakkale alongside the Sea of Marmara and cross the Dardanelles by ferry and visit Troy, site of the Trojan Wars immortalized in Homer's Iliad. Find out what love had to do with it and the "first" beauty pageant. Overnight in Canakkale, enjoy an aperitif on us. (B,L,D)

Day 5 CANAKKALE - PERGAMUM - IZMIR - We start out by going to Pergamum, an important city of antiquity where parchment wasinvented. One of the Seven Churches of Revelation is here. We tour the sites of the Acropolis famous for its library that Mark Antony gave to Cleopatra, one of the world's steepest theaters, figure of Nike, Athena, Dionysos, Trajan Temples, Altar of Zeus, the ancient medical center Asklepion where Galen taught and Red Basilica. Overnight in Izmir, a taste of Turkish Delight. (B,L)

Day 6 IZMIR - EPHESUS - KUSADASI - We drive to Seljuk and visit the remnants of Ephesus, the most important and best preserved antique city. Here we walk on marble paved roads and see the Celsus Library, Great Theater, Roman Baths, Agoras, fountains and temples including one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Temple of Artemis. Visit the House of Virgin Mary. End the day at Kusadasi with a complementary fruit basket. (B,L,D)

Day 7 KUSADASI - APHRODISIAS - PAMUKKALE - We go to "Cotton Castle" where we see tiers of white limestone cascading down the hillside. Next we go to Aphrodisias, the city dedicated to the goddess Aphrodite (Venus) and visit the museum, Roman baths and one of the best preserved Greco-Roman stadiums in existence. Overnight in Pamukkale and enjoy a complementary thermal bath or massage. (B,L,D)

Day 8 PAMUKKALE - HIERAPOLIS - BODRUM - We discover the ruins of Hierapolis and go to Bodrum. Afternoon is at leisure, stroll the narrow streets, see the artists in action, make new friends and enjoy life. Dinner in Bodrum with a complementary bottle of local champagne. (B,D)

Day 9 BODRUM - We tour the medireview Castle of the Crusaders, one of the finest Underwater

Archaeology Museums, theater and Mausoleum of Halicarnassus site where love was behind the creation of one of the Seven Wonders. Afternoon at leisure. (B,D)

Day 10 BODRUM - Since there is so much to do in and around Bodrum, today is at leisure. Popular activities include: various boat trips, snorkeling, hiking, shopping, scuba diving, touring traditional villages, etc. (B,D)

Day 11 Departure or Extension - Transfer to Bodrum airport for the trip back home or if arrangements are made we go on another tour or a yacht cruise or a holiday resort. (B)
